Let me tell you something...
You think you're going on a retreat for the sunshine, the ocean, the unplugged mornings, and the massages — and sure, you get all that.
But what you really get? You get you back.
That’s what happened at the first-ever Breathe Degrees Pure Bliss Caribbean Retreat. And let me just say this: we’ll never be the same.
Breathwork + Yoga + Ocean + Community = 🔥

Every single day, we hit the mat. We dove into deep breathwork and melted into yoga flows, with the sound of the waves and the beat of our own hearts syncing up like magic. No distractions. No noise. Just presence.
And if you’ve ever done breathwork with the Breathe Degrees crew, you already know — it’s not just a class. It’s a freaking journey into yourself. Every inhale cracked something open. Every exhale let something go.
Surf. Plunge. Repeat.

Picture this: turquoise water so warm it feels like velvet, and waves just begging to be surfed. That’s what we got in the Dominican Republic. We surfed, laughed, wiped out, and cheered each other on like rockstars.
And when we weren’t riding waves, we were diving headfirst into reviving ocean plunges and cold tubs, rewiring our nervous systems one shiver and one victory at a time.
The Kintsugi Ceremony: Broken, Mended, Beautiful

One of the most powerful moments of the retreat? A quiet, soul-shifting kintsugi ceremony.
We broke something on purpose. A bowl. A belief. A pattern. Then we put it back together with gold — just like we do with the parts of ourselves we’ve hidden, shamed, or tried to forget. Because the truth is: the cracks are the beauty. The scars are the story. And healing doesn’t hide them — it honors them.
Nourishment That Went Beyond the Plate

And the food? Don’t even get me started. We ate like royalty. Fresh, local, healthy Caribbean goodness — prepared with so much love you could taste it. Every bite felt like a celebration of being alive.
And because rest is the revolution we forget we need, we soaked in daily massages and facials that left us glowing — inside and out.
We Floated. We Snorkeled. We took Bachata Lessons. We Did Muay Thai!
We spent a day at Sosua Bay paddling into the big blue on SUPs and diving into coral-filled waters. We practiced martial arts, taking classes from the DR's best Muay Thai instructors for some sweaty, punchy, fierce workout sessions, all the way to rooftop bachata dancing lessons for a Latin night out in town!
You Can’t Fake This Kind of Connection

Here’s what made this retreat unforgettable: the people. The stories. The bachata dances. The laughs. The way strangers became chosen family in less than a week. We showed up for the sunshine — but what we really found was a deep, soul-level connection. To ourselves. To each other. To life.
So What Now?
Now… we carry it all back. The breath. The power. The gold in our cracks. We remember that the ocean is always inside us. That peace isn’t a place — it’s a choice.
And when life gets loud again? We close our eyes. We take a breath. And we go back — to that feeling. The one we found in the Caribbean. The one that’s been in us all along.
Want in on the next one?
Trust me — you’ll want to be there. Because once you taste what it feels like to come home to yourself, you’ll never settle for anything less again.
